Don offers three different seminars on the use of the Bach Flower Remedies with pets. He has presented these seminars in Japan, Canada, and various locations throughout the US, including the Association of Pet Dog Trainers (APDT) annual conference in 2004 and 2005. A Quick Overview of the Bach Flower RemediesThe objective of this 30 minute to 2 hour presentation will be to introduce the audience to the Bach Flower Remedies, their history and how and why they are used with people and pets.
An Introduction to Using the Bach Flower Remedies with PetsThe objective of this one-day (7 hour) presentation will be to introduce the audience to the Bach Flower Remedies and to provide them with enough introductory information to start using the remedies with their pets for simple emotional/behavioral issues. The presentation may cover the species of your choice, either dogs or cats. Key topics that will be addressed are: What Are the Bach Flower Remedies?, Who Was Dr. Bach, How and Why Were the Bach Flower Remedies Developed?, How Do the Remedies Work?, How Do We Determine Which Remedies to Use with Our Pets, Analyzing Our Animals Needs, Behaviors, Emotions and Communications, and A Review of the 38 Remedies and Their Respective Uses. Participants will work in small groups at various points in the presentation. A few case studies will be discussed. At the end of the day, participants will be given the opportunity to purchase dropper bottles so that they may prepare a treatment bottle for themselves or their pet. Using the Bach Flower Remedies to Treat Ourselves and Our PetsThis one and a half to two day (9 to 12 hour) presentation expands on the one day presentation by discussing the use of the remedies with both dogs and cats. There will also be more opportunities for participants to work in small groups throughout the presentation. The best way to learn how to use the remedies is by doing simple case studies, gradually increasing in complexity. The additional time also allows for a more thorough discussion of each of the 38 remedies, review of more complicated emotional/behavioral issues, and the examination of more case studies from my files. I will describe the process I use for evaluating behavioral clients and how I at times treat both animal and human. We will also discuss how attendees can learn more about the Bach Flower Remedies and how to become a registered practitioner. At the end of each day, participants will be given the opportunity to purchase dropper bottles so that they may prepare a treatment bottle for themselves or their pet.
